How to Add Chapter Points in Adobe Encore for DVD

If you have finished your movie and are ready to create a DVD, a great program to use is Adobe Encore. Once you have all your video in timelines, you may choose to create “Chapter Points” in the footage, so your viewers can easily navigate the DVD.

  1. Open the Adobe Encore program and open the project you are working on, by going to “File,” “Open.”
  2. Step 2

From within your Project Window, click on the “Timeline” containing the footage you want to add Chapter Points to. Open the video monitor, by going to “Window,” and then “Monitor.” Click play or move the “Time Indicator” in your “Timeline,” stopping when you get to the point where your chapter break will be.

  3. Step 3

Go to “Timeline,” and then “Add Chapter Point.”

  4. Step 4

Repeat the above steps for as many “Chapter Points” as you wish to enter. Save your work.
