Adobe Encore

How to Add a Subpicture to a Text Button Using Adobe Encore

  1. Open the Adobe Encore program and open the project you are working on, by going to “File,” “Open.” Go to “Window,” and “Menu” to open the Menu Editor Window.
  2. Step 2

Click on the selection tool in the toolbox. It looks like an arrow. Use the selection tool to select one of the buttons you have created in the menu.

  3. Step 3

Go to “Object,” then “Create Subpicture.” Then go to “View,” and “Show Selected Subpicture” so you can see how the button will look when it is clicked on. Repeat the above step for each button.

  4. Step 4

Go to “Edit,” then “Color Sets,” then “Menu.” In the box that opens, click the “New Color Set” button. Give your color set a name, so you can easily find it.

  5. Step 5

In “Highlight Group Section” one, click on the color chooser and choose the color you want to appear when your button is selected.

  6. Step 6

From the “Opacity Menu,” choose a number between 50 and 80 percent.

  7. Step 7

Go back out to the “Properties” tab for the “Menu,” and from “Color Set,” choose the name of the new color set you just created.

  8. Step 8

    Save your work.
